Runways & Kandi Kanes

So so, on Friday me n Trish did a fashion show for the Red Carnival Welcome Party in conjunction with AIDS Day at Club 9 & 6 Lounge in Heritage! it's Ramesh's new club. So did 2 different shows, the first was for Kariza dresses (oh la la so pretty!!) with Drunk With Emotions accessories.. phewwww!! there were 4 dresses for each model (4models) n omg as usual, backstage and changing was hectic n mad!!!!

there was some issues with the coreography though.. hmm. then the second part was a show for 360Degree's clothes and also Drunk With Emotions accessories. Same cue, 4 changes (rush rush rush rush!!) but it was fun. Also, a little thing that I wasn't aware of, they were also showing stuff from the Undershop, so there were 4 male models there. didnt know bout that being in the itenary, but it was fun anyway, we just stand on podiums.

all in all, I enjoyed myself thoroughly! cant wait to get pics of the show!! n the crowd was fun! hahah they kept saying 'smilee laa!! smilee!" hahahah N i cud hear Micah shouting my name! lol! wat fun! :D and in return for the show I got my coupons for stores and gift vouchers! haha I've already placed my order for 360 Degrees! cant wait to get it!

and then on Saturday... my my my my my!!

1st- I had a fitting for Micah Boutin's show- went pretty well! It's presented by Dubleve and its gonna be at Twenty-One, Changkat on Thursday, 4th Dec at 10pm- so do come! its free!

and then it was HED KANDI at Euphoria!! whoohoo! they presented DJ Andy Warburton who was frickin-A!! and also they had a Percussionist, Ian C!! wat-a-nite!! oh n a big THANK YOU to Patrick for the guest list!! :D I am not broke because of you! lol!

the club was packed, as usual and seriously Andy was so so so amazing!! was dancing the nite away with my college mates and boyyy was it fun! I LOVE dancing on a crowded dance floor and just going buck-wild! dont really care bout wat ppl might think with crazy dance moves, lol! As long as we all have fun, why not ay? ;p and we sure did have fun! oh nb we got to take pics with Andy after that, he was real nice! hope they come down n play again!

So here's to a fantastic nite!!

In Another World

So I've been meanin to much to post these up. But I've just been having such an incredibly busy (yet, satistying week!)

Ok so I know this post is gonne be so narcissistic, but wtv. Im kinda pleased with myself this week, and I think that I deserve this, so bear with me please, chiquititas?
I've had just the most amazing and fun week of my career (pfft! wat career??) ok well, my modeling life?? i dunno, wtv u wanna call it la.

I've been doing shoots since last-last Friday, Monday, Wednesday and also did the Zeitgeist German Fashion Show at LimKokWing Uni on Friday! :D i was so so so thrilled with that! really wanted it and in the end, was one of the models chosen and better yet, I modelled Nthiran's dress!! oh it was so gorgeous n dare I say, that I looked pretty sweet in it? hehe I was freakin sewn into the dress, IT WAS AMAZING!!

Backstage at fashion shows are the most hectic things. Ever. It is what u see on tv, scrambling to get models into garments, freakin if sumn is wrong. lots of body parts seen, safety pins and last touch ups n frazzled designers! mmmmmmm I love it! all the hustle n bustle is joy! :)

So the show was pretty cool, there were lots of Ppl n also some of the garments were actually pretty good!

Other than that, I think I just had some of the best shots from an impromptu shoot with Bibo this week! totally random bumpin into each other-turned to be really great! :)

I am just so happy la... come along way from last year's shoot with KG! im so embarresed with myself n I cant believe KG ever wanted to work with me again after that. I was so clueless back then, on how to pose, angle n all that, I've learnt so so so much this year, N im still learning and have ALOT more to improve on! :)

That's what I always believe in. You should never give up dreaming and having big plans for the future. If you make the effort to try to reach them, you'll always achieve something good out of it. Perhaps you won't always get what you want, but you'll discover new things or stumble upon new opportunities! :)

I've always had big plans for myself since I was a kid. Ask my family, I've always dreamed of being a model, of going away for foreign exchange studies, of being in the papers, of doing fashion and all sorts of silly-sounding things.. I mean I've had alot of crazy dreams.... BUT I've always strived for it..... and I will NEVER let anyone stand in the way, or tell me I cant achieve what I want coz Im not capable or wtv..

Look at what I've managed to accomplish so far. I always dreamt of going on a Foreign Exchange Trip since I was 8, and out of the 400+ ppl tat applied, I was one out the 38 chosen ones... I may not be a signed model yet... but at least I AM going somewhere with it.. Im not big, im practically a no one, but... Im slowing improving, learning more and achieving small dreams, slowly-but surely....

I've always wanted to do runways, n altho im too short, I still do fashion shows at college and next week, Im at The Attic, Bangsar for a Fashion Flirt event! and I've always dreamed of being in Seventeen mag one day, and this morning- I got to do a small shoot wit em! :) I'll be in the December issue!

The only person that can tell me tat Im not capable of achieving those things is myself. As long as I try my best, I'll be happy. Im not gonna listen to ppl or family members tat say; 'oh u should wear a padded push up bra la, then only nice....' like waaatt??? r u serious???

who said dreams are for losers? of course I do not get all tat I want.. God has yet to grant me with some nice boobs, but I'm very comfy in my own skin.. no car yet.. lots of things Tat I still dont have.. but im proud of myself for always trying my best.... :) So never give up ur dreams, sweeties..... and dont listen to those who just dont believe in you!!! listen to ur heart.

They may not always be the path that you choose, but If u make an effort to achieve them, u never know... :)



So this is me after the shoot today! :) I was so in the mood for a 'Lena Fujii'-esque camwhore session, n I still had my make-up from this morning on, so pardon me! lol! I haven't camwhored in the longest time ever, n my skills r severely lacking, but this is what I came up with so far.. hehehehe

Classes Machaaa

Deiiiii!!! hahah ive been just busy busy busy wit wat? nothingness lately! lol! no laaaa more like, busy wit class, watchin the Olympics n bummmmmiinnnggg around!

But yes yes my classes have been on n they are.. Not bad!

Business Management class is pretty interesting but its just very much on listenin n dicussing stuff la.. not much on creativity... I really love my Fundamentals of Sketching class which is incidently, nothin to do wit sketching (insert laughter). Its more on like.. sociology of fashion.. brand management n tat sort of stuff but its cool!

1st assignment is a huge Fashion Journal about anything we want about Fashion.. so basically there aint no barriers n its due in 3 weeks, gotta get a move on! Then there is Principles of Retailing class which is... pretty good.. i think the subject is interesting but the lecturer is a bit weird. no doubt that she knows her stuff but i just cant keep up wit the way she teaches it.. n im not alone in this.... she keeps grabbin her boobs for warmth... hmmmm.....

but oh well! n lastly, Design Mangement class is so far.... a bit dull la.. i dunno just 1 class so far n it didnt leave much of an impression on me, but i think its got to do wit management skills n brand management n tat sort of things.. will fill in more later..

oh n yesterday was Tim's farewell party! He's also leaving to the US for 4 years.. it was fun as I got to see Sim and Nick again! :) my fellow YES ppl! Sim n I were the 2 ppl who put on the most amount of weight from the US, glad to say we lost it all! hahhaah! :) good times..

hahhaha check out my 'lolita' hairstyle! hahaha i think I've been reading ViVi magazine abit too much recentl! GOD IM ADDICTED TO THAT MAGAZINE!!!!!!!!!!!!! ahhhh!! the clothes the clothes the clothes!!!!!!!!!! oh n LENA FUJII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! goodness, smack me wit a stick but im addicted to her... *growl*

but its ok, i think of Icky n i know that im still straight! i wanna pinch his cheeks! haha so im may be bent here n there, but DEF still straight! :p

tuesday mornings

im so sorry for the late updates! ugh! i've been busy lately by just bumming around!


i saw X-Files: The Movie n thought that it was.... ok... cool at times but ok. i have to say that my FAV part in the entire movie was when they zoomed in to a picture of President Bush n the x-files theme played! hahahahhahhahahahhahhahhaa bloody funny man!!



n i also watched The December Boys -a movie with Daniel Radcliffe! its bout these 4 orphan boys who went on a vacation to a beach n they learn things about their lives n meet all sorts of ppl! this is such a cute-laazzy afternoon movie! its tat sort of mood, but i liked it anyway! do give it a shot if ur bored! :)

So im attending the AFS Malaysia's Gala Dinner on the 9th of August! im soo excited! n the theme is black & gold n u can wear either formal or traditional! n i've been wanting this dress from Topshop since January but it costs RM300, tat day when i went over there, my heart stopped as i saw it was 50% off!! so i flipped n looked for a 6 or 8 n there were only size 10 left!! thats like huge for me!!


but the lady said tat there were no more other sized even in the other stores n i decided to just try it on n let it die in my head buttt to my huge suprise!! IT FIT!!!!!!! ahhhhhh!!!! i had had to get it! RM148! :) whee!! i only had to stitch the top part at the boobs (duh...) but it looks great n im wearing it for the gala dinner wit gold accessories!



n i had also got another great Red knee length-decent dress from MNG when they were havin sale! 50% off as well- only RM99! i liked it alot coz i thought tat it was so different from the other dresses i have! cant wait to wear it! :)

other than that it seems like i wont be goin to MTV Asia Awards this Saturday at Genting. darn i really wanted to go... sigh..
